Sunday Evening II

Fabric, Hair, Stuffing

2016

I like to reclaim overlooked spaces. Here I’ve turned the storage room of an art gallery into a private, theatrical moment. The door left ajar offers a glimpse, but the inanimate objects appear to be caught in an intimate act. A sharp shadow spills out the door; loose hair clippings, left undisturbed, have accumulated into a carpet over time. Viewers are invited to inhabit the bodily space mentally, but are compelled to reconsider their sense of boundaries.
